Block Size: 12.5 inches unfinished
Fabrics:
Focus fabric will be provided! It is by Andover called “Improv” a bold geometric black and white print. See at right.
Placement: Use black and white in center and corners
Corners: In addition to the black and white focus fabric , add a fun color to corners (a color fabric strip is in your bundle). Feel free to add an additional or different bright (solid or tone on tone) from your stash if you like!
Background: Please use White or White on White fabric
Method: Controlled Improv
This block is version of a log cabin. Start with a center of the black and white fabric -- square or rectangle -- you determine the size! Build from there log cabin-style with background, then adding Corner pieces.
The 2 corner sides should be placed diagonally. Hint: Use a variety of thicker and thinner strips for corners.
Please make your block 12.5 inches unfinished
Charity selected: Quilts for Kids, Sacramento Chapter
